Start-Up Services
In the process of starting a new school? We provide consulting services to help you select the best Student Information System (SIS) and Information Technology Center (ITC) to meet your needs. We can also work directly with your ITC on SIS set-up and the build-out of your scheduling infrastructure.
Reporting Services
We can complete all of your annual state and student reporting requirements and work with your team to implement systems and processes to ensure accurate data and maximum funding. This includes:
- Confirming inputs and submitting all school-year initialization documents
- Inputting/updating daily schedules as needed
- Providing a proven process and tools to compare rosters with enrollment and ensure accurate FTE funding
- Training school staff as needed on strong attendance procedures, HB 410, etc.
- Completing and submitting all reporting requirements, using data you submit via your SIS or in an uploadable format
- Supporting any FTE or fiscal audit needs
Internal reviews and audit support
We offer a variety of standalone supports to help ensure you are maximizing funding and well prepared for any external audits. These include:
- Conducting an internal review of FTE to actual enrollment and identifying and missed funding opportunities
- Mock/prep fiscal or FTE audits
- Serving as the fiscal audit point of contact with your Treasurer
- Serving as the FTE audit point of contact with your ODE Area Coordinator

We provide an overview of programs + key roles, as well as an annual calendar of requirements and deliverables, broken down by role.We also provide associated examples and templates for all items.
All resources are updated in real-time as changes to requirements are announced at the state level.
Support and Technical Assistance
Consolidated + ESSR + Homeless
Looking for guidance, advice, and coaching around navigating state systems and completing deliverables? Our expert team can provide your team with up to 8 hours of on-site and/or virtual support per month.
Need even more support? We can take on the task of completing all of your grants management components, to include everything except project cash requests (PCRs) and final expenditure reports (FERs), using data provided by your team.
If you need additional capacity to complete and submit PCRs/FERs, we can help there too.
Baseline cost for these services includes support for completion of self-surveys. We will also support any desk reviews or on-site audits, for an additional cost based on review type.
Ed Steps – without Ohio Improvement Process (OIP)
Looking for guidance, advice, and coaching around completing the One Needs Assessment, One Plan, and One Plan monitoring tool? Our expert team can provide up to 20 hours of 1:1 support over the course of the year, aligned with the Ed Steps annual cycle. Need even more support? We can come on-site and play an even more active role in completing the One Needs Assessment, One Plan, and One Plan Monitoring tool.
Ed Steps – with Ohio Improvement Process (OIP)
In addition to the above support completing the One Needs Assessment and One Plan, and One Plan monitoring tool, we will also provide monthly support helping your team plan agendas for required OIP leadership team meetings. Need even more support? We can come on-site and play an even more active role in completing the One Needs Assessment, One Plan, and One Plan Monitoring tool, as well as serve as external facilitator for your monthly OIP leadership team meetings.
Competitive Grants
Our team is available to write competitive grant applications, provide support monitoring implementation of grant activities, and even serve as external evaluator when those are required. We can customize our level of support based on your organization’s needs and internal capacity.
Audit Support
Our team is available to come on-site and help you prepare for and navigate Title On-site or Desk Review audits.

We provide an annual calendar of sponsor, safety and security, and state and federal compliance items, broken down by school staff member responsibility and including associated examples and templates.

Looking for guidance, advice, and coaching? Our expert team can provide 8-16 hours of on-site and/or virtual support per month (depending on scope), working directly with relevant members of your team to review and/or provide assistance in completing compliance deliverables according to the annual calendar.
Need even more support?
- Sponsor: We can serve as the compliance point-of-contact for your Sponsor, working even more closely with your team to ensure timely completion and submission of compliance items and responding to any Sponsor feedback or questions.
- State and Federal: We can more actively assist your team in completing all compliance items, including helping your team navigate state systems and respond to any questions or revisions from your ODE consultants.
- Safety and Security: We can work closely with your team to complete all annual and 3-year safety and security requirements, including safety plans, drills, and certifications.
Professional Development
We host summer training sessions on important compliance-related topics such as HB 410.
